Eric Bergemann, PhD, MBA, MFT
Director of Professional Education, Mindsight Institute

Eric received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California where he wrote his dissertation on the development of empathy in psychotherapists from a psycho-neurobiological perspective, focusing on bodily-based mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation. He received his M.A. in clinical psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Dr. Bergemann also holds an M.B.A. in finance and international business from the University of Chicago.  He has been practicing mindfulness meditation and yoga for the last decade and is passionate about exploring the intersection of neuroscience, contemplative practice, and psychotherapy.  Dr. Bergemann’s post-doctoral training and private practice includes children, adolescents, and adults for both psychotherapy and psycho-diagnostic testing (www.DrEricBergemann.com).  Eric coordinates the Mindsight Institute’s online courses and can be contacted at onlinecourses@MindsightInstitute.com.

Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D.
Director of Parenting Education, Mindsight Institute

Tina Payne Bryson is a lecturer, parent-educator, and mom. She is an expert contributor for eHarmony’s parenting website, and she frequently speaks to parents, teachers, and professionals about how to understand relationships in the context of the changing brain. Tina has her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, where her research explored attachment science, childrearing theory, and interpersonal neurobiology, but emphasizes that before she’s an educator or researcher or writer, she’s a mom. She says that along with her husband, Scott, parenting her three boys is what makes her happiest.  Dan and Tina are currently working on a parenting book that applies the principles of mindsight and neural integration to child development.  The book is tentatively titled “Whole Brain Parenting” and will be published by Random House in 2011.  Tina may be contacted at info@drdansiegel.com

Stephanie Hamilton
Executive Administrator, Mindsight Institute

Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s in Communication Studies at UCLA and worked in the music industry for several years. She also managed operations for a large performing arts academy. Looking for more meaning in her career, Stephanie began working with special needs children and there she found her passion: working with children with neuro-developmental challenges including Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Seeing the positive effects of parental attunement, resonance and contingent communication on the development of children, Stephanie came to The Mindsight Institute to further explore the integration of the mind, the body and relationships. In addition to her continuing work with children and Floortime Therapy (the D.I.R. model), Stephanie manages Dr. Siegel's speaking engagements. She may be contacted at speaking@drdansiegel.com.

Adit Shah
Research Assistant, Mindsight Institute

Adit earned his B.S. in Neuroscience and Biology from Wesleyan University.  After college, Adit performed a year of neurobiology research at the Yale School of Medicine before returning home to Los Angeles.  He was inspired to join the Mindsight Institute as a Research Assistant after attending one of Dr. Siegel's lectures.  Adit may be contacted at adit@drdansiegel.com.
